Another beautiful day at Skylands Manor…

I’ve known Melissa and Mike for many years, so when they asked me to photograph their Engagement session at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, NJ I was beyond excited to capture this special time for them. In fact, I will have the opportunity to attend their wedding as a guest this coming May at the beautiful Crossed Keys Estate.

The day of our shoot, we weren’t sure if we were going to have to make last minute changes to our plans as it started pouring rain only moments before we were about to start. The good thing about rain though on a day of a shoot is that it makes for AMAZING sunsets like this one. As Paulo Coehlo said, “Don’t forget, beautiful sunsets need cloudy skies”.

As always, I recommended having two different outfits ready for the shoot-one casual, and one dress. Melissa being a fellow Virgo girl opted for the earth tones that complimented her perfectly.
